Micro Current Neurofeedback

IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback is an entirely safe, painless, non-invasive treatment, used to treat mind-related issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD and many other disorders (see list below). It also can be helpful with chronic pain.

Due to environmental factors, stress, sickness, trauma or injuries, the brain can become unbalanced, and brain waves can become fixed in patterns that produce brain-related disorders. The IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback device encourages a ‘re-routing’ of established brain wave patterns, enabling it to adjust itself by creating new brain wave patterns.

It is a unique form of therapy, in that the device both monitors brainwaves AND provides stimulus to help achieve the optimal impact. It is a non-pharmaceutical way to rebalance and reorganize the nervous system for better regulation / optimal brain performance. Typical responses within the first few treatments are mental clarity, a sense of calmness, clearer senses, and more restorative sleep.

Micro Current Neurofeedback treatment may be helpful in:

Anxiety, Autism (ASD), chronic fatigue, brain fog, athletic performance, enhancing academic performance, fibromyalgia, concussion, memory issues, depression, epilepsy, insomnia, learning disorders, headaches and migraines, OCD, Parkinson’s, PTSD, stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

What is it?

IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback, or ‘MCN’, is a safe, revolutionary, technology that uses brain wave feedback to help the brain reboot itself. MCN treatments use low-impact electrical signals (‘Micro Currents’) to help the brain create new patterns and alleviate common brain-related illnesses.

In a typical MCN session, small electrodes are applied to a patient’s head to reflect brain waves and encourage a ‘re-routing’ of established brain wave patterns.

How can it help me?

MCN addresses many disorders including PTSD, ADD/ADHD, Depression, Anxiety and many more.

85% of patients observe some changes within three to five sessions. Typically, patients report experiencing a sense of calm, improved concentration and memory, and a lifting of the ‘fog’ associated with many brain imbalance disorders.

Is it safe?

IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback is an FDA-registered EEG amplifier and is extremely safe and pain-free.

MCN technology measures brainwaves, but then adds low intensity pulses of energy through several small electrodes affixed to the head.

The energy used is very small: 3 trillionths of a Watt (that’s 1/300th the intensity of an AA battery for as little as 1/100th of a second, and is not generally noticeable by the person receiving the treatment.

The device targets frozen, stuck patterns – healthy, functional brainwave patterns are resilient and therefore unaffected by this treatment. Treatments are safe and effective for both adults and children.

How many treatments do I need?

Of course, there will be a variation in individual response, but to obtain sustained change, usually 10 treatments are needed, ideally over a period of four to five weeks. At this stage treatment frequency can be reduced, and usually by 20 treatments people are in a situation where they will use the treatment for intermittent boosters.

Each IASIS MCN session will add to the positive impact of the last, creating a cumulative healing process and inviting the brain into optimal functionality.

The appointment:

Please allow about 30-40 minutes for each appointment.

Small electrodes will be applied to certain points around the edge of the face and neck and on the head, so it is important that patients arrive for the treatment wearing no make-up or hair products, face and neck completely cleaned of cosmetics, creams and oils, and wear no jewellery on the neck.

It would also be helpful if clothing is loose at the back so that access to the upper back is possible.

Unlike traditional forms of neurofeedback, with Micro Current Neurofeedback no conscious effort is required from the individual receiving the feedback.
